Can I legally “spy” on my people without
their knowledge?

Yes. But the use of the video can be restricted depending on which state you are in. Contact us to get the exact ruling in your particular state. We recommend getting each person to sign a release allowing both the shop and use of the video.

Wouldn’t letting the people know in advance about the mystery shop defeat the purpose?

No. If your people know they are going to be shopped, how do you think they will be with customers? Probably the way you want them to be.

You can use the mystery shop however you wish. You could use it as an incentive. If they get shopped and perform well, they will be rewarded.

Wouldn’t your sales improve if every customer were treated like a mystery shopper?

Can I target an individual person to be video shopped?

Absolutely—we can set that up in various ways—either by telephone at first or by asking for that person by name by way of a referral from a third party.

How can I get a Manager recorded so I can see the input he has, but without causing embarrassment?

You need to know what your manager is doing, so we will video as much interaction as he has with a customer. If it is poor, we can make two recordings for you so your manager does not look bad in front of his people, then you can use the other recording to help him.

Once I see the recording and decide I need training on specific areas, how do I train the whole team when I still need keep the place going?

That’s the beauty of DealerPro. We will train your people on site so our trainer can work with your people in their environment, according to your schedule. Normally we would train half your people in the morning session with the other half taking up the afternoon. That way your people do not take a full day away for training.
